Your first photo looks to me like the Yellow Throated plated lizard.
Imberbe = Combretum imberbe = Leadwood = Hardekool = The spirit of the Wildernis!

We saw this lizard at Tihongonyeni in KNP in November

some type of grass lizard?

@jaytea Your lizard is possibly a Yellow-throated Plated Lizard. Another one to look at is Black-lined Plated Lizard, but you'd really need to hold them in the hand to get the difference.

I would appreciate it if someone can tell me what the name is of the lizard (?). I had this sighting near Middelvlei, halfway between Letaba and Mopani.

Possibly the Yellow throated Plated Lizard as well.
