Another club to join. This is the SIO (Shark In Ocean Club) and to join this club you have to take a photo of a live shark in the ocean. Photos of sharks in aquariums don't qualify!

Herewith my photo which was taken during March 2009 on the Protea Banks, KwaZulu-Natal, SA during a scuba dive. This is a photo of a Bull (Zambesi) shark, my favourite sea animal:



We have a few SCUBA divers here on our forum as well, like Scipio, Timepilot, Scuba Steve, Deefstes, Sparks, Elzet, JustNature, etc. We also have a few snorkellers here, like CuriousCanadian, Bert, etc ...please post your photos and join the club!!

I will call this club the IPC. INSANE PEOPLE CLUB.

Its basically the same as to stop next to lions get out of your element (car) and go take a pic and say Hi.

B5S, you are a nature lover and I think the time is ripe for you to do a diving course!!!
You have 50 years of diving ahead of you...just imagine all the wonderful sightings!!

Micetta, a photo of any live shark taken by yourself from a boat on the ocean will be fine as well!!

I only have a pic of a seastar.

Sorry Michel that won't do for the SIO club, but you can always start the SSIO (SeaStar In Ocean Club)!!

I like snorkeling.We usually do in in Ballito in those man made pools and in hartenbos near mosselbay.I was snorkeling the one time around the rocks and all and the next moment I found myself far from the rocks and my friends and in water almost 2 stories deep.(for divers not that deep but think it is for snorkeling).So I got a huge fright coz I have seen pics of Great White there not to far from the shore just behind the rocks.So according to me I was kinda in the kill zone as they call it where the water all of a sudden gets deep. Any case long story short got a huge fright and scared ever since.

I love to dive. Haven't done so in ages.
Too cold for me here. I'm a warm water diver.

Michel, then you should dive in the warm tropical waters of Natal and maybe join the club!

Actually I did. In the winter of '76 in st. Lucia.
No sharknets back then. (don't know if they have them there now)

The killing-nets should all go!
Luckily St Lucia doesn't have nets and at Protea Banks there are NO nets at all due to the fact that the reef is 8 kilometers from the shore!!
