Frog: Striped Stream

Unread postby RyanI » Fri Jan 09, 2009 9:29 pm

I took this photo of a frog in a swimming pool in the Natal Midlands in december. I have scoured every book in every book shop but cannot find anything that looks the same. Please help? Thx

While I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about Frogs - particularly those in ZAR - it does look like a "Striped Stream Frog". You can claim it is anyway, as who would challenge you?

Check this site:

http://books.google.com/books?id=A_IwBi ... &ct=result

I went looking in images, so if you're convinced it's not this, you could try the same technique.

Good luck,

Daan

Thanks Daan,
I had come accross the striped stream frog in searching but thought the colours were no exactly the same. But I suppose thats nature, as with birds, which I have a little more experience with, colours can vary quite drammatically. Thanks again,
Ryan
