I am currently engaged in an ecological study of the Southern Adder (Bitis armata) at DeHoop Nature Reserve and the West Coast Nat Park. I would be grateful for any records from the WCNP, even roadkills (fresh) are valuable for DNA. In fact we are in urgent need for DNA from West Coast specimens. They are very small adders,(20-30cm) similar to the many-horned, but the 'horns' are much reduced. Be aware that on the road they look like little twigs. They are active mainly in morning and evening depending on time of year. In winter they can be seen during the day. Thanks.
