Off the top of my head, look at Bauhinia tomentosa. Maybe another Bauhinia species?

Thanks Senyetse,
and looking through my book I can see it could very well be that.

Desc: An attractive shrub with small light green two-lobed leaves.
It is free flowering and decorated for months with beautiful bell shaped flowers.
These flowers attract pollinating isects and in turn draw insectivorous birds such as the Bar-throated Apalis, Cape White-Eye, Crested and Black-collared Barbets and Natal and Cape Robins.
The Grey Go-away Bird eats the flowers.
Larvae of the Gold Bordered Prince Moth feed on it.
