and even more... I (we ??) can't post (yesterday) since hours (almost all the day)

For about a week now, I've had to log in every time I've visited the forum, despite having ticked the log me in automatically box. This has never happened before. Any idea why it's happening now?

No idea why it's happening Arks, it could be an upgrade to your browser or AV software. It may help if you clear the board cookies, they could be out of date.

Look at the bottom left of the main Board Index and you'll find a link "Delete Board Cookies". A warning though, if you do this you will lose the password so make sure you know what it is before clearing.

Thanks, Sara, I'd actually cleared my board cookies before I posted. However, the problem has now resolved itself, not sure how or why ... many mysteries of cyberspace!

However, I DO still have the '0 new messages, -2 unread messages' problem

Somewhere last week I saw 0 new messages, 1 unread messages displayed. I got two messages from the same person and I open only one and read both messages (laying underneath each other) that way. Just after that I got the 0/1 message. I went back and opened the second already read message and closed it and the display disappeared.

Just asking but could it be possible that something like this happened with you???

Not sure that I quite follow you, LQ, plus I get very few PMs as I dislike them and discourage them. Steven was looking into it, but I don't think that he's even seen my post that the problem hasn't been fixed.

Why is the date for the "Last post" for the "Birds" thread about three years out of date? For example, at the moment (Tue Jun 04, 2013 2:43), the "Last post" displayed for "Birds" is "Sat Jul 03, 2010 1:34" by "Batmad". I've noticed the problem several times in the last few weeks.

Please do NOT worry about the date for the "Last post" for the "Birds" thread. I am currently busy merging old posts of "Identification Help - LBJs" since 2008 into the relevant bird threads. The dates will constantly change as long as I am busy working on it and does not indicate a problem at all, since the dates of the posts merged will appear in the "Last post". I hope you understand what I mean?
