Hi All,

Some help/advice please.

So I have booked for my trip to Kruger in December 2013. 8 nights in total.
Due to various family issues, I will probably only be able to use 5 or 6 of the 8 nights.
The deposit is due by mid-February. But at this stage I won't know exactly which 6 nights I will be using. I won't know if I will need to drop the first one (or two) or the last one (or two).
I will probably have a clearer idea closer to the time in October when the full amount becomes due.

So my question is this.
Is it ok if I pay the full deposit now, and then only take 6 days of the booking, will the excess just be allocated to the booking as a whole?
Will there be any sort of penalty or ammendment fee?

Thanks
Yoda

That will be fine yoda. Cancel the nights you do not require before you pay the second deposit and there will be no penalty or amendment fee.

look here

Yup, they do.
Last year, my sister's family came too.
But this year, they not keen to. So we have to fit in time to see them in Jhb.

If it was up to me, I would fly into Jhb, do some shopping, drive up to Kruger for the full month that I am in SA, and then drive back to Jhb, and fly back home!

But 2 problems:
1) My Mrs would never agree to that
2) My family in SA wouldn't be too happy with me.

Otherwise, not a bad idea

LOL ja nee kyk if I were you I wouldve felt the same but hey that's why we got married to our SO's cos even when our complete hearts aren't agreeing we still do understand their judgement and respect their thoughts and feelings to something at the end of the day, I told my SO come july 2014 i intend on being in the kruger for 3 weeks no questions asked thankfully he loves it as much as I do and has agree'd, hope you and yours have a magical time while you are their :)

It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.

SL - my wife enjoys going to Kruger, but she's not as besotted as I am.

BB - yup, I learned this as a kidteenager. Rather don't ask for permission, and then when you get into trouble well, so be it. If you ask, and your parents say no, and you still do it, you get into trouble for 2 things. Disobeying them, and for what you shouldn't have done. :eviltreath:
So rather don't ask!

I have an idea. Tell the family your trip has been canceled and then spend all the time in Kruger

You just need to get the better half onboard as well.
