I bought his book as a present for a friend, and couldn't put it down.A great man. My deepest sympathy to his family

My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I have just finished reading A Game Ranger Remembers and enjoyed every minute. He was a remarkable and dedicated game ranger indeed!

As a former student of Bruce in musketry I owe a great deal to him in what I have achieved, and I believe many others too. (Bruce ran a mean bushlane operation). Conservation in SA need more people with similar passion as Bruce exhibited throughout his carreer. An era is gone with the passing of a great man. Condolences to his family. Will be having a cold one on you.

To loose a person with so much passion for the wild is a great loss.

Very sad to hear this legend of the bushveld has passed away!
Alll the best to his family - his legacy lives on through his son who I have had the pleasure of being guided by on the Metsi Metsi Trail!
