We are now having a sundowner at our new camp. We are both Shingwedzi virgins but we are both camping pros, setting it up in 20min and chilling... Done and dusted

Deebs, that video was recorded last night  will load when we come back

Cheets you better tell cheetah1111 and cheetah3111 to come and say hi :D

Sparrow wish you where here :w:

Tannie VVV will go visit Pafuri soon and check out those birdies

We couldn't have been so YELLOW without SuperM and her generosity :gflower:

Going to try and find those roan and willies tomorrow

I'm glad you guys looked so pretty in yellow!

BTW...if you are under the Heksie spell, it's easy to be generous!

In the Jungle,
the mighty jungle,
the lions sleeps tonight.
In the jungle,
the quiet jungle,
the lions sleeps tonight.

Near the village,
the peaceful village,
the lions sleeps tonight.
Near the village,
the quiet village,
the lions sleeps tonight.

Hush my darling,
don't fear my darling,
the lions sleeps tonight.
Hush my darling,
don't fear my darling,
the lions sleeps tonight.

Which was very far from the truth!!!! .................

If it sounds as if that lion is right outside your two man tent, the hush my darling, don't fear my darling part is the furthest from your mind!!!!!................

So today the King will be looked for and hopefully found and be told that the lion is supposed to sleep tonight!!!!

If the roaring bothers you just have another of those cocktails/sundowners you :wiz:

Cheets don`t show Heks a scorpie, she may join Wendy in the chorus.

Hi All!

Thanks for all your comments which we read and have a laugh about!!!

Thanks for your SMS, VVV – we will look out for your plover!

Hilda, when I went for my shower last night there was a little gecko in there … I’ve named her Hilda!

Heksie and I have had a lekker drive this morning – 1 lifer for me, a broad-billed roller, and 2 for Heksie – the broad-billed roller and the Verreaux Eagle Owl – in fact, we saw 4 Eagle Owls today! We sat for AGES watching them calling – it was AWESOME!

Another FABBY sighting this morning was an albino impala ram in the Kanniedood River – lovely.

Today is the first day of brilliant blue sky and sunshine and it is VERY hot … It feels like someone has their air conditioning blowing on about 45 degrees C pointing right at us!

We are back at camp now to have a couple of icy Savannas then back out this afternoon for a drive to Red Rocks and Tshanga Lookout Point for Heksie to do her TITANIC impression … get your money out Cheetah2111!!!

The woodland kingfishers are flying about – their brilliant blue colours never cease to amaze.

Right, off to do a bit of washing up, maybe have another Savanna (!!!) then back out for the afternoon drive in search of the big boy who kept us awake all night … you should have heard him (and Heksie’s face was even more of a classic!!!)

xxx

Lovely morning drive indeed, with awesome sightings! Four Eagle Owls! Woodland kingfishers! And I cannot recall that we have ever seen a Broad-billed Roller, unless without knowing it.

An albino Impie! Also not an everyday sighting WendyA and Heksie!

What is Heksie's TITANIC impression? Sorry if it was explained somewhere else, then I must have missed it.

Enjoy yourselves!
