Morning All,

So the carpets arrived and it was as if they were made for the building at Tsamma Land - a perfect fit.
Brian - Thanks so much for the paper and the posters it will help the kids so much and the Tsamma Land is looking like such a nice school now - we are just waiting for a few more goodies within the next two weeks and then we will post some nice pictures to show how the school has transformed into a place the kids feel safe and love to come and do their home work.

Ctv4 - THANKS so much, it will indeed keep the cold out.

Herewith some pictures, sorry for the poor quality the pics were taken with a mobile phone.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT.

I received a PM from Rookie indicating some very basic needs. One especially got my attention - there is no blackboard in the classroom.... As far as I know that's easily fixed - you get stuff you spray onto any surface, even a wall, that turns it into a blackboard in a couple of minutes. Anybody up to donating some of that spray paint? :D

"I think that they need some nice plastic tables for the kids to sit at, decent curtains/ blinds, aircon or fans for summer (they will die it is so hot in there), a blackboard/ whiteboard, some decent outside play equipment, a couple of computers with educational games (possibly internet access for projects as they get older)."

We're bringing with a second-hand laptop donated by a complete stranger in Delft, Holland. DuQues passed the word around on a Dutch forum and this one was easy to collect. But more is obviously still needed.

Amazing what can be done in a very short time. :D This was just posted by Vanessa in the Kgalagadi group on Facebook.

Hi Santi, thank you for this, just an update of what we have received so for: we have two new tables, granjan so kindly donated that, it will be here with Scouter on Sat.
We have also received an air con donated by Shaky Jake
s and the chairs in the classroom is really not a problem for the small kids but bigger ones for the older kids will be great.
As for computers, so far we also have 5 coming with Scouter along with a printer but if we can get more it will be great (the more children and the more time they are able to spend learning this skill will definitely help them a lot in future) able to . Games will be awesome. As soon as we have our computer room all set up the plan is to also give the adults some basic computer lessons.
We also got some carpets donated and the also some mattresses for the little ones to sleep on (they are all covered and have quilts all made by Gill and her mom, the mattresses were donated by Granjan)
Curtains has also been donated by the park - we want to tie dye them so maybe just some of the cold water dye (red, green, blue) the kids will just love to get their hands dirty doing that.
Then just a big thank you for everyone again for their support for this. We have received so many arts and craft things to keep the kids busy.
Kagalgadi Guru will post a special message from the kids today
Tsamma Land greetings

Morning all,

A HUGE THANK YOU to all involved and to those who care. I went there yesterday to see how the school was doing and to drop off some goodies we received. It is always such a pleasure walking into the school and see all the happy faces.

Here are some pictures taken of the classroom.

DQ, It sure does....but we couldn’t have done it without the support from all the people donating and caring. The school has had a facelift since we received the goodies and it’s also going from strength to strength.

Will do so GP
