Speaking of Injury, I have a perfect print of a Cricket ball, seam and all about one inch below the crown Jewels, eish, that was close.

Camping in TR, that should do it for me, :hmz:

I wonder what is more painful, a sting/bite from a scorpion or spider or a cricket ball aimed and hitting the delicates?

I actually follow the, If I don't see it it doesn't exist rule, i.e. there are no such thing as scorpions in Kruger because I have not seen one yet.

We had 2 beautifull Boomslang at our camping site.

Weltenman, cold sweat I tell you, so no scorpion will bother me at TR.

But back to the question? KTP pro's.

Stars, Lions, scorpions(Could be one), KTP itself, the Capies coming to Cricket, less humidity, barking Ghecko's, Leopard at the confluence, Something new, Awareness creation, a grass skirt is cool, Kruger mites that never saw KTP doing KTP. :hmz:

Con's: No elephants.

Kruger pro's: Lions, snakes(Could be one), KNP itself, the Capies coming to Cricket, more humidity, barking Wild Dogs, Leopard at the Marula loop, Something old, Awareness creation, a grass skirt is cool, Elephants. :hmz:

Con's: No barking Gheckos.

Well, I will go to both.

Just think about Skukuza cricket :hmz: Yellow riboons driving around all the roads on game drives!! Meeting up for chats and free to roam around in a big YR fest  So much freedom and flexible fun!

The solution proposed for the petrol money for the gautengers going to KTP is to tour bus together! But with that comes a herd of sheep that have to be told - be here, be there. Without cars, no freedom to roam around :(

Cheetahtjie .. there are an awful lot of CT mites and those in other provinces closer to KTP than KNP and it would be great if we could meet mites from the "other" side A bus sounds great It is only for the cricket if you must sight see on your own bring your own transport.Actually it is a long distance for the CT mites too but they are passionate about "their " park which is KTP and want as many to enjoy it too

I suppose it would be to difficult to arrange simultaneous meets? Then mites could choose which one to support, and maybe have a bit of rivalry somehow between them. :hmz:

Thing is, SANParks officials cannot divide into two. We'd love to clone Neds, Steven and co for eg ... so who gets the honour of their attendance.

Perhaps rope in some more SANParks officials  or do a turn and turn about each year?

Just a note to SANParks regarding the (possibility) of a new venue for the cricket :) I understand the consideration, however I wish to point out that in order to make the cricket a success you will need the support of numbers, which up to now have been relatively low in my opinion, and can be MUCH bigger if we continue to promte and organise it like you have done in the past.

The biggest issue was to involve the younger generation, and that is quite hard as it isn't a gala in sandton or a pub in Pretoria....

I myself and more of my younger formites friends are trying our UTMOST to get more younger people involved, as that is the way and the future forward. And it will be, our ranks have been strenghtened by several apssionate young people. After this meet we are convinced we HAVE to do something about poaching, and are physically gonnna set ut many a plan to make it actually happen.

Young people in general will not attend the Kgalagadi meet for the simple reason as being too remote and expensive. And it is vital we keep trying to involve young people aswell to ensure it will be a absolute ongoing project.

As a WELL DESERVED applause to SANParks and the respected formites who organised the whole event, this year has been the BEST event so far. We will make sure there will be an increased support for the event!!!   If based in Skukuza I will get more and more young guys going, and from next year WILL donate FUNDS for rhino poaching and PLAY cricket aswell!!!
Tambotie 20 July, Shipandane Birdhide 21 July, Mphongolo Backpack Trail 22 -25 July, Tzendze 26 July, and Greater Limpopo National Park 27 -29 July :D
