Are you interested in birds? Come and visit the Tankwa

This is the SANParks Honorary Rangers Boland Region's first ever public birding event and with your help, we hope to make it a successful annual highlight.
Where? Tankwa Karoo National Park (just off the Ceres/Calvinia road).
When? 13th – 15th April 2012.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the vast variety of birds in the unique arid Tankwa Karoo National Park. In parallel with the birding game, there is a beginners section where you can learn all the wonders of birding while spending time with some of South Africa's top birders and getting to know the birds. The weekend includes 2 nights self catering accommodation with a prize giving dinner.
We have very nice new accommodation, but space is limited to 16 in this facility, so register now!
For more information, contact Jenny on (021) 559-7636 or 082 804 5539
This is a SANParks Honorary Rangers Project in conjunction with BirdLife SA.
All funds raised will go to birding projects in the Tankwa Karoo National Park.

September is known (to them) as "Sausage Tree", because at this time the sausage tree (kigalia africana) begins to bear fruit.
