Most definitely the project is still running. At the moment we have expanded it to other parks as well as DB mentioned, we are about to buy a 10x5 marquee tent for Bontebok national park to assist them in bringing school children in to the park and educating them about conservation

Most of the children in our projects are from disadvantaged backgrounds, the ones who drive past the fancy entrance gates and just wonder what lies beyond. A large number of the children live close to nature and could probably show the rangers a thing or two but have no idea of what conservation is or the importance of it. hopefully we can make a difference in providing some answers and show them how the whole puzzle comes together.

In Chinese mythology 2013 is the year of the snake but in the Virtual region of the Sanparks Honorary Rangers we would like to make it the year of the child.

Im a relative newie -- joined a while ago but only been more active in last few months !! Am getting to really enjoy the Forum !! Its great :clap:

1. Are you still looking for donations?
2. Must I be a "ranger " to make a contribution ?

I would like to start a debit order, if possible.
If so , how ?

1. A donation to this worthy cause is always welcome, I'll pm you the banking details.

2. No need to be a "ranger" to make a contribution.

If you do wish to become an Honorary Ranger do have a look here..........How do I become an HR

We have a Virtual region for those of us who wish to make that contribution here on the forum.

Please ask if there is anything else you want to know.......... :thumbs_up:

Hello Sparks,
I am a newie to this forum, based in Tanzania, very close to the Ruaha national Park. I find your initiative very inspiring. I have got an idea of doing something similar here in Tanzania. Young people need to be motivated and inspired to love nature. Great work you are doing.
