I've done this with my old binos and gave them to the camp assistant at Bitterpan. He was most grateful and it was his birthday, too.

Brilliant news.

And on the old binocular front, one old pair was left with the camp manager at Olifants last time we were there and another old pair will be with me when I go in May. Check my itinerary on the Yellow Ribbon thread if you think anyone in any of those camps could do with a helping hand/eye then PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Actually any pair would be great.
But 8X40 would be nice.
I gave my old 8x21 last year and they were very happy.
