Good evening to you all,

I have already said, in one of the threads, that the yellow ribbon is, and can be even more, a powerful promotional symbol.
I personally liked it a lot and happy to know you do.

Departing tomorrow and

I have a pair of 8 x 10 binocs that worked fine when I was in the Kruger in Sept. When I got home (Canada) though, I found that my suitcase must have been severely banged around because when looking through the binocs the two fields don't quite merge into one. I'm very hesitant to give someone binocs with this problem but would these be better than nothing? I'm going back (to Kruger) in January so will take them with me.

Morning Alto, my opinion is not to take them with you!
When that happens to binocs it's because the two prism's are no longer aligned and they become are of little use in the field. A real pity!

Alto
Think outside the box!
Cut them in half and donate two monoculars.

Rumuruti, I think I agree with you. I think it's worse to have double vision than no magnification :( . I would take my binocs in my carry on luggage but all the space is taken up by my camera equipment

JDW - maybe if I just drop them again the prisms will line up and I won't have to cut them in half (don't laugh - I did try knocking them but it didn't help).
