Having just spent 15 days in Kruger , and not seeing even one YR , I have now come to the conclusion that the YR is extinct north of Tsokwane

Of course , we did not see any roan antelope or eland either

@ Dellac; I'd gladly put a YR in my hair. Sadly my hair is short supply so that might be an issue.

I might attempt to put a small piece of YR on to my cap

My YR is flying proudly, but I must admit I haven't seen another one yet and we've been in Oom Paul se Plaas since Saturday. Heading to Tamboti tomorrow so hopefully have better luck spotting another mite.

Have not seen even one unmentionable yet, but buffalo are everywhere!! Saw 2 herds of over 800 buffs, the one from this morning must've been over 1000 of the grumpies.

THis was yet another succesful mite trip for me, we stayed 3 nights at Lower Sabie and found out earlier that two mites would be in the surrounding areas... So contacted them and had a braai every night with Leachy and then Sunday afternoon had a lekker braai at Skuks with Bushcraft...
but a surprise was our second morning whilst drinking MMC in camp and I saw this one girl in the communal kitchen and she looked very familiar... so I took an empty coffee mug to the kitchen to do some investigation... and guess what? It is Bushbaby30. We had a morning chat until mum came to fetch me as it was already past gate opening times and we are never late for the Gate

I say guys do look in this link http://www.sanparks.org/forums/viewtopic.php?style=2&f=69&t=33456 and then maybe send a pm to some of the mites you want to meet...

What a pity Wildbill, exactly what I'm trying to say!
I had my YR on as well, maybe we just never drove the same roads on the same day? :hmz:
But I'm glad that you at least did meet some mites during this trip

Just looking at the When will I see Yellow Ribbons in KNP thread it looks as though we should meet at least 9 mites without any trouble.

18/12/2013 Rooikat, Rooivalk, WendyA, Heksie and Sparrow at Satara. If anyone else is there come join us at the fence.

21/12/2013 SurfCindy, Riaanf31, RemiE, WendyA, Heksie and Sparrow at Satara. If anyone else is there another invite to come join us at the fence.

22/12/2013 SurfCindy, Riaanf31, RemiE, Yoda and Sparrow at Satara. If anyone else is there yet another invite to come join us at the fence.

Definitely looking forward to it Heksie  , we’re most likely to run into one another in the camp. When outside the camp I’m mostly distracted taking photos :cam: …..just flag me down hehe

Sparrow, I will definitely pay a visit at the fence. We’re in Satara 21/22/23 December circle A

I know Anri, so whoever gets to Sats first will have to take up two fence positions.
