We were in Kruger for 13 days in May, went from CB to olifants in that time, and did not see any YR in that time :hmz:

When we were in the PArk Nov/Dec 2012 I saw about 20 mites in the Park, we om'd eachother to organise meets at certain camps
-Aat and Ellie
-Porridge and JAxidean
-DellaC, SO and Annie Owl
-Big5spotter
-Flying Cheetah
-Imberbe and SO
-Leachy
-JaniceE and Eastr
-PNF
-WildImage and CarolV
-Crested Val and Dungie
-Baber

October 2012
-Sparrow
-GerhardDB
-Leachy
-Cheetah2111

In March 2012 we saw Mads. Bushbaby, Bushbaby30 and SHi also we got to see EJ

In March 2013 we saw ForrestGump and Bushcraft

Now in July we saw LQ, Picnic and LO also Bushcraft and family and not to forget Vinkie and Apex Predator

All depends if you stay in camps they are staying in... Or if you organise trips so you guys can have a drink at a picninc spot etc. But seldomnly I drive just past a YR as the PArk is BIG and we are spread everywhere

That's why it is so important to add your name to the "Where will I see YRs" thread.
Kruger has it's own, and there is one for non KNP visits!!

We have not seen many YRs on the open road, but have met loads in the camps, or arranged to meet at picnic sites etc...............get your name down!!!!

I seem to remember meeting you, Crested Val on the H14, between Mooiplaas and Phalaborwa gate last year or maybe it was the year before at the end of September.

Time certainly flies. My son GlenD and his family were also there at the time.

Looking forward to Shingwedzi in a month's time with GlenD, his family and my daughter joshie01 and her family.

Chip I hope you and the whole family have a blessed time in Shing.

It is my favourite camp, and I was devastated to see the Jan flood damage!!!!

So thankful that it is returning to normal.

We will be there in February!!!

Yes, I remember, it was actually Glen and Bushmom and Baby who did most of the talking that day, as I believe you had all met at Shing a few days before!! You were all on your way out of the park, and Bushmom and baby were staying with us in the Phala cottage.

Less than two weeks before we leave , and hope to see YR's when we are there . Usually ,we are very lucky to see any YR at all . Maybe , because not many 'mites visit KNP during May and September :hmz:

Hi Val  ( AOf course they are friendly , but you know , I would say over the past 3 years , twice a year ( April/May and Sept/October ) , we have seen less than ten YR's in total . The one's I recall are - Dinky Bird and Hawk , Aat , Vlakvarksegat plus VVsevrou ( twice ) , Click Click , Picnic , Touareg , Martie Goddard ( twice ) , ........
We did meet a couple of others , who spoke to us when they saw our YR , but they did not fly YR's  These were sort of " lapsed " forumites

So therefore , maybe we visit when there are no other 'mites up north -- Satara to Punda :hmz:

Okie, you are definitely right...........we see few actual yellow ribbons on the open roads up north, but I check the YR page, and if I can make a plan to meet up with other forumites, we do.

Last year we met, EJ, Chirinda, Normana and Torticat, WendyA & Heksie, CarolV and SO, Bushmom and her 2 babies, Mads, Vlakvarkvrou, Petra and SO, Flying Cheetah, Davenjan, Cheetah2111, Micetta and SO, Elsa and Klystron, Porridge and JaxiDean, and Darren and Garren. We were due to meet Meandering Mouse, but I was poorly and had to cancel!!!

Sadly we will probably always miss you, as we are there each year from the end of November to the beginning of May. :wall: :wall:

Will be interested to hear who you meet up with this year!!

Last time in KNP we spotted a fair few YR's. BarryEls & Hilda , who had been following a Cheetah down a road for a long time. We both stopped next to each other and only after a while did we notice each others YR's

Sometimes, even though we try and make it spotable, I found that our YR wasn't easy to see. We had one atop the car aerial and the driver side side mirror.

I recon I'm going to unwind an entire 5m cord of yellow Ribbon on the Driver wing mirror for December.
