umtali1 - Why not? You could always pretend it is...age is only a number.

The oddest suggestion we had as to why we were flying YRs - 'Does it mean you can recommend hotels?'
We never could work out why that idea sprang to her mind.

On a very upbeat note - I am just sorting out our YRs to wash and iron - 15 sleeps to go before we set off for Heathrow airport.

Ten days in the KNP and I saw TWO !(2)!... ONLY yellow ribbons. Do 'mites still fly their ribbons?

On 9 Nov during my drive from Malelane Gate where I entered the Park, I spotted the first (very promising so early into my trip) during a mad dash by a bunch of tourists to stay with a leopard sighting. It was mandym, a 'mite from Catalunya, Spain. We ran into each other a couple more times during the day.

Then the next time we saw one was on 15 Nov during a Balule Bash drive up north to Mooiplaas windmill to locate the yellow wagtail there. This mite flew a combination yellow and green ribbons :hmz: and after some leg-pulling and coaxing we learnt that this 'mite was flying cheetah from Burghausen, Germany.

We got to see more YR in our last two KTP visits than what we saw in all of our KNP visits!!!

And still people put on YR and when you wave them to stop they just keep driving on!!! Yes I'm talking about the Silver Isuzu bakkie in KTP with the CA registration!!!!

Had some great "meets" on the road and exchanged sightings and stories. Even cause some small Traffic Jams in KTP.

 bo ho ho looks like there will only be one very lonely YR in Mapughubwe for chrismas.

But I will still keep on flying them. Those that saw them at Rietvlei knows that with that yellow you might even see them on Google earth they are so bright.
