So we had a teeny bit of rain here in Hout Bay today ... this is the river in front of the house ...



and this is the braai area ... probably a good thing we are not trying to braai on Saturday

what a mess

White river rafting.. oh goodie must we bring our own rubber ducky!!!!
Must have been quite a sight and that really decides you on NOT to braai.

Okay...so there are two options here..either it is a "OMW" moment or a "Oh sh*t" moment.....
I guess this is a serious " oh sh*t" moment and if you dare change back to the original plan of having a braai I am not coming...it is as simple as that !!!!!

It's STILL raining ... really hope the river doesn't flood its banks or we will be in trouble

Dunno about the rubber ducky - we actually do have one in the front "garden" so can always evacuate if needs be but those wellies sound like a good idea DB - need to get me some ......

Even if the rain eventually stops its going to be very cold and damp here for a few days - but the house will be warm and the company fantastic

Thanks Caracal but will admit to using the old muk-en-druk - was hard to juggle the umbrella and the camera without slipping on the wet and soggy mush underfoot and landing on my guava so opted for the easy option instead I did eventually take my shoes off and it was easier barefoot - and don't worry - we are NOT going to braai

Springboks are playing England on Saturday at 4pm, so I am sorry , I will be missing this meet.
I am sure, very sure in fact that you will all be warm, dry, have wonderful eats (as usual ) and a very happy meet. ENJOY it everyone and Arks, hope the rest of your stay in CT is an enjoyable one

We will miss you guys on Saturday but I do understand ... the SO is also not terribly happy about the rugby but he is already scheming to have the TV on quietly in the computer room so he can at least keep track of whats happening .....

Oh dreamer thats a pity .. .. Scouter your SO will just have to shout the scores to the rest of us though I have a feeling that room with the TV will be full of muskateers
