I wore my YR for about 2 months after my first 2 trips but with my new special YR I'm so afraid they would steal it...
Didn't meet any mite though... Were are the Pretoors mites hey?

Have been flying my yellow ribbon since the 30th in a very busy Kruger and only seen one other one, Ms Wild Dog. Will hopefully see a few more in the coming days.

As promised we flew the Yellow Ribbon and had mixed success.

We met many new forumites for the first time and even someone coming up to us at Mata-Mata asking what it was all about. 8)

We also noticed a very weird way of doing it.
You see a car with a YR and it ignores another car with a YR. Now there are 2 possibilities - they recognised the Terios and who were inside it and decided - Eh, I'm not interested in meeting those guys! :naughty:
The other we actually experienced when we approached a vehicle from her blind side and noticed the YR. Not going to say from where incase they recognise themselves. :P Kind of chatted to them but they were interested in a sighting, so we thought they didn't see the YR and left it at that, maybe they will later. Then it gets interesting - we passed them several times in one morning - they must have seen the ribbon. They ignored us.

Why fly the YR if you're not going to be on the look-out for others?

Oh no Guinea Pig! I cannot believe it! We have such a huge YR, nobody can miss it, and if they do miss it for some reason or another, we turn around and follow them until we are able to catch up with them, stop them for a chat, because we want to know who it is.

But, you do get funny people, everywhere!

I must admit flying the YR actually made cars coming past more interesting as I kept on checking to see if they had a YR. Met three other mites in KNP although one didn't have a YR but she saw mine and approached me.

Not to worry, I'm not complaining, I found it very funny.

We did meet a lot of forumites along the way which we wouldn't have without the YR. 8)

The only yellow ribbon we saw in the Kruger between 18 and 23 December 2013 was ours, we covered a large part of the south

Hi to all! & to Hilda!

Like Guinea Pig and Sharifa said! The yellow ribbons this past December in KTP was not that nice!

I have a YR on both sides of the Landy, and both are a metre long!

And in my 2 weeks in KTP I only met 3 other forumites!

Is this really possible?

Will I fly my YR again?

I dont know, Dont think I got the milage from my YR!

Regards

Did you look on the Yellow Ribbon thread for that period ctv4? Maybe there were only three other 'mites at that stage? Three are quite a lot to me!
