We stayed in one of the FU4D in Feb and I think we had # 110 and as far as I recall there were only the 2 of them, 109 and 110, the next door ones, from 111 up were the bigger units FF6DB even tho the map doesn't show those.
I remember they had a better view to the fence.
I was going to ask if we couldn't be moved to one of those until I peeped in the window, (it was empty!) and saw they were different plus they have a much bigger veranda!

Just a question i have regarding my upcoming trip in december:
Do all campsites have their own braai stand - unfortunately i cant remember!
I will most probably be staying in malelane, pretoriouskop, maroela and tsendze.
Also, although not entirely relevant to this topic, I will need boiling water for my morning coffee when i stop at a picnic site. I see in the kruger book that certain picnic sites have boiling water, but wonder how it would work and how reliable they are. Or would it be easier to get boiling water from the camp I leave, but then again, i doubt malelane, tsendze and maroela would have such a facility.

Any answers would be highly appreciated :)

Hi Bushbob

All campsites come with a braai, if you cant find one or the one at your site is in bad condition, be sure to ask reception for one. With Regards to Boiling water most picnic sites I have been to usually have an old steel kettle either on a fire or gas for boiling water if they dont have a hydroboil. Malelane, Maroela and Tzendze should all have hydroboils every comunial kitchen facility will have boiling water.

@Boske Hi Welcome to the Forums :hello:
2 tents wont be a problem as long as you are 6 people of under, if you are more than 6 people you will need to book 2 sites. 8)

From the 'extra information' letter sent out with bookings..... One campsite can have up to 2 tents, or one caravan/trailer with side tent. Up to 6 people, with base rate 2 people, extra amount payable for each extra person up to total of 6. If there are 2 vehicles then you should pay extra for the second vehicle too.

I have stayed at LB3 & LR2ZW @ Skukuza and I liked it a lot. Do we have any similar cottages at Satara
or any othe camp as i am unable to get these cottages for my dates.

We stayed in a 3 bedded bungalow in Satara in Feb last year, if I remember correctly on the map it is one of the ones listed as BG3 in the B circle.
It had a nice extended veranda area and also included a microwave.
We had booked the LLB, the one luxury bungalow but when we arrived were told they no longer had that one any more and allocated us one of these.
Otherwise the only other one is the guest cottages but they are quite a bit more price wise, altho in the range of the semi luxury bungalows at Skukuza.

Have a look at the pic Here
you will see the extended veranda.

Hi bushhugger, the type of bungalow in the B-circle is the BD3B. It is a very nice bungalow with 3 beds.

Ruud

Hi Ruud, yes...we started there in the B circle in bungalow no 46. It was really clean and nice room.
We also had the African wild cat in our veranda in the evening. Absolute delight.
Also heard lions roaring somewhere close by at midnight. Spine chilling!!!
