Duke, do you know if any archaeological digs have been done up there? That vista would have been ideal for a defend-able settlement

Not aware of any archaelogical digs in that area saraf but can see why the Nkumbe clan would choose that site for a settlement.

If it was in the UK I would have been searching for Iron Age hill fort remains. And there are precedents in SA - Thulamela and Mapungubwe to name but two.

I wonder what's there...
