I noticed that at Mopani a 'boma braai' is offered. Has somebody tried that already?

As its a new activity I'm not sure if its the same as the Bush braai's already offered by many of the camps,
but if so you can read about them Here

BnD used to do a boma braai.....It is a braai in camp at a big boma area and really just a different option from a restaurant meal. Suspect Mopani may use the day visitor area for this.

I am now confused (and that happens easily :? ) - is there a Mugg & Bean at Mopani, or only a Tindlovo?

Tindlovo are in the camps that do conferences as they cater for these.

The Mugg & Bean at Olifants is very good; the food is well prepared and the waiters are very friendly and well trained. The Tindlovu Restaurant at Mopani is still not good -see previous posts. We also had the chef come out and apologise for the badly cooked pizza. By the time it had been cooked three times it was eatable as well as edible. We mostly self-cater which I personally think is the best option. The kitchenettes are usually well stocked with cooking utensils, casserole dishes which can be used on stove tops and in the oven, frying pans of one kind or the other and crockery, cutlery and glasses.
I am typing this in Mopani Camp which in itself is quite incredible I think; to have access to the internet in the middle of darkest Africa! There is even a large screen TV in our lounge which, thankfully, we cannot get to work.

The M&B at Letaba is also very good; the new menu is definitely worth a try. It is really super to have fresh fresh salads and tasty choices. Well done to all involved.

On our KNP trip earlier this month we ate out at a few of the places
M&B on the move at Lower Sabie did not have what I wanted which was a health Sandwich ... pity
but we also ate at the main M&B a few nights later and the food was good and service quick and waitron most pleasant.
We had a take away sandwich from Shingwedzi and it was delish .
We were going to eat at Satara M&B but were told what we wanted was not available so we left hungry .
At Punda we had a fish and chip supper and it was the best Fish and chips we had had in a long time. It was served with blanched veggies that were very tasty. The staff were very friendly and everything was so professionally done. We had a evening meal at the cattle Baron in Skuks .. Very posh and very professional . Our Waitress was a delight I wish I had taken her name . I think she will go far.The food was extremely tasty .I even had a cheesecake .
So things are looking up just a few things still to iron out .
Most of the restaurants were busy except for Shing and Mopani as they seemed very quiet .. ( though the park was very quiet overall)

Hugh I take it that the fish and chips, and also the cheesekake, was a healthy option.

That is good news regarding the Cattle Baron at Skukuza. We used to have a branch near us, but it closed down. We enjoyed it and I hope we will be able to try the new one at Skukuza when we are there in a few days' time.

We also had a most enjoyable meal at the Cattle Baron in Skukuza last week.
Good service, great food and a lovely cool atmosphere inside on a scorching hot day.

My total favourite meal at CB is Chicken Parmesan.......have never managed to finish the whole meal yet, so always have some for a doggy bag and another meal! It is just so tasty...
