Have you seen signs of Spring yet in Kruger
The yellow billed kites are back, the weeping boer beans are surely in bloom with their dark red blossoms!
What else is happening?

Spring is indeed a very special time of the year in Kruger. Those who are there now will confirm, I think. I wonder whether Kruger will receive good rains this spring/summer.

Any guess as to how far the Woodies are at this stage? They only arrive much later, but they must probably on their way at this time.

Plenty of Yellow-billed Kites around in our area!
Think the Woodies only arrive next month in the park.

We'll be entering the park at Malelane on October 5 and working our way up to Punda Maria, leaving on the 21st. Do you think the woodies, bee eaters and many other migrants will be there by then?

You might be very lucky and get to hear one of the early Woodies towards the end of your trip but they mostly only arrive towards the end of Oct and sometimes even into Nov.
Woodie challenge Here
but you should be able to see the Bee-eaters!

Yeah unfortunately taking long trips is a bit difficult for us so I make do with quite a few quick ones 8)
