I think they had permission, but in case not, I will mention no names, but our dear friend who died far too young ,and was a real bushman and fisherman had half his ashes scattered into the Indian Ocean and the other half near Sunset Dam. We visit him each time go to Kruger. :)

They must divide my ashes in three parts. First and second parts must be scattered at my two favourite Kruger lookouts: Bobbejaankrans and Nkumbe. Third part must be planted with a young knobthorn, my favourite tree of the lowveld.

Gezantfombi weir - 3 km north-west of Crocodile Bridge in the Vurhami Creek. I'll keep my eyes open 24 hours a day because the name means "place where the young women bathe".

My SO's ashes are to be scattered along the Olifants River - stream up from N'wamanzi, just before the H1-5 turns north away from the river.

My late husband scattered at Nhkulu (see avatar) but I would like Nkumbe

I can't think of a wild spot in Kruger that would be bad. Anywhere for Mrs. Stark to spend my life insurance would do. 8)

If I had my druthers, I'd say half of me straight into the Olifants, and the other half on the plains N of Satara.

It is easier to get forgiveness that permission. Also when you have cast somebody to the wind, it is difficult to get them back together again.

Much to the amusement of our solicitor when we drew up our wills, SO (Wildimage) and I have opted to go over the bridge across the Olifants but we are going together...well, our ashes are!

The next day was one of the best we have ever had in Kruger - Big 5 in two hours plus cheetah. We say it's cos Mom was guiding us.
Going to visit her next April.

I orginally wanted it to be Nwanetsi. 8)

Then I thought Olifants overlooking the river from the lookout. 8)

The view from Nkumbe is great as is Longwe lookout. :?

I have never been to the lookout near Bateluer but believe it is also an amazing place.

Any one of those places will suite me fine.

Conservation is not an option.
It's imperative.

Leave KNP alone. Go build a hotel someplace else. Reserves are for the preservation of wildlife.
