Somewhere near Mopani or Lower Sabie would suit me fine - just let me loose in a light breeze to come home to Mother Africa.

Same here big5spotter-the ashes must be blown, not scattered - one little puff at all our favourite places! :) (and be sure to exhale... )

1) On top of Mathikhiti kop south of Satara where in 1993 I had the priviledge of experiencing total tranquility in my sole while being alone but for my friend who was out of sight conducting field work somewhere on the surrounding plain .
2) One of many places I have passed while on walking in KNP .
3) Tshanga .
4) My avatar shows the place - I will not tell you where it is .
5) So many more places ...
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

I'm just 24 - but you never know when it' s your turn. there are a couple of places where i would want my ashes to be... ( and i'll probably find a million more)

- the selati train bridge
- fevertree forest in the north
- olifants river from camp lookout
- crooks corner
- mooiplaas picnic spot / tshokwane
- confluence lookout

and one not in KNP - the heads at Knysna Lagoon.

and plant wildflowers (something like Zinias or Pride of the Kaap or so ) over the ashes or where they were strewn. some kind fo flower that would anyway grew in the veld. :D

camping checklist:-
1. Brush and pan.
2. Feather duster.
3. Face mask.

And never to visit Kruger on a windy day.

   Actually all the trees and so on would be more beautiful there- coz if you give ash to trees and plants - they would bear more and better fruit and flowers. :D so we would actually just make the place more beautiful. :D

I think I am going to consult my children on this one :hmz: after all they are going to have to do the spreading. They might also like to pick somewhere that reminds them very specialy of their mother. A flavour that says, "yup, she's here all right".

I have a horrible suspiscion it might be "Crooks corner". I can hear them saying, "still, at last". "no more bailing out of stange situations".

I would like to be scattered at Rhinoster Koppies dam, next to my dad! We had some many good afternoons sitty at the dam and talking!
