I would build my house where the old Gorge Camp used to be between Bangu Waterhole and the Olifants Trails Camp ... Great view and far away from everything
To be or not to be, that is the question...I am and I want to be!!!

Tshanga look out point! that's also where I want my ashes to be scattered! and IF some other mite has already built there then I'll go for any shaded river front plot!!

A log cabin along one of the rivers central to south where i could put an elevated deck overlooking the river and do some tiger fishing as well as having a fabulous place to sit and watch the animals and sunset with a klippies and coke in the hand! :D

A section ranger built this on the southern banks of the Olifants river not very far from Roodewal .
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

Honestly, I'd put my house in an established camp. That way I don't intrude on the wilderness anymore than necessary by building, and by coming to/from to stock supplies and perishables, and the intended/unintended human pollution that comes with human habitat.

Sure I wouldn't wake up to my own Kruger right out the front door, but it would only be a short distance away.

I wouldn't build a permanent structure in Kruger, but tow my caravan from camp to camp and go out each day from gate open to gate close to enjoy it all. With a caravan I can move around to all my favourite spots in Kruger!

I would build a house at "Nkumbe Lookout" with a very big telescope. Would love to sit and scan the big open plains and search for any form of life.

It might not be possible to build the house, but I am definitely going back to the lookout with a pair of very good binoculars.

I would be a neighbour to DuQues, up in the Pafuri, Crooks Corner area.

With the caveat that I have yet to see 95% of the KNP.

On the northern bank of the Luvuvhu, at the base of a koppie a few hundred meters west of Mangala picnic site. Stunning views down the river, and it only gets better as you climb the koppie, from which you can look right down into the river as well as across to the tall woodland and hills beyond. Just around the corner the floodplain stretches to Hutwini. Beautiful beyond the singing of it.

OK, so this is technically in the Makuleke Contract Park, and no, Mangala is not a public picnic site. As a matter of fact, it is just called that, but actually there are no facilities or amenities of any kind, with tracks being the only human impact.

Already drawing up plans for the conversion of the hide in Shimuwini.A large ,strong door will be fitted and I will be charging extortionate fees for the use of my bedroom window for birdwatching.(in my dreams  )

I would Annex Melville in Letaba and upgrade it a little bit. The Bench Outside Melville must be my single favourite place in the entire park. Since I didn'y use a spot within Kruger, I would negotiate for a holiday cottage in Talamati.

Close to the Sabie river underneath a huge tree...I will use that gravel road on the H4-1 between Skukuza and the H12 which was closed after the floods as my access road!
