Nice pics but when you upload the pics plz resize them they take forevea to download.Resize to message board size 640x480 or using a resize programLook here download the exe one think its only 1.33mb and very easy to use will save you allot on uploading pics on the net and makes it much easier for us to look at them.

What I still don't understand is, is that we all know that wild dogs are reputed to have huge territories which has led to a decline in the number of wild dogs as there simply aren't many areas which enable them to roam freely. That's why areas like Kruger and Botswana are one of the last havens for these beautiful creatures as in smaller game parks they would simply escape and be killed when they are out of the park by farmers, workers etc.

Why then are almost all wild dog sightings concentrated in the South of the park, especially around Berg en Dal and Crocodile Bridge? It seems like those packs don't stray very far - I would have expected people to see that very same pack in say, Shingwedzi area. And that would make sense as the volume of predators further up is far lower which would suit the wild dogs. Yet up North, there are limited sightings of them - some around Phalaborwa but not a heck of a lot else.

Is it then that it's because of the sheer volume of cars that frequent the lower regions of Kruger so more sightings are had in the South or something else? I would be interested to hear the forumites' views on this matter.

I was in the Kruger park on my second visit in November and I was desperate to see wild dogs. I didnt think we were going to see them after a week of searching, then as we drove from Skukuza to exit the Kruger at Malelane gate, we came across a pack of 12 wild dogs on the road. They had just killed a young impala and were having great fun devouring it! It would have been about a third of the way between Skukuka and Malelane gate that we saw them

Good luck in your search! :D
