What has happened to the library? Last week I wanted to show it to my daughter, getting her all exited on what to expect inside only to find it closed. With cobwebs in the doors and windows and weeds around the entrance, it seemed to have been closed for some time.

I remember it was closed for renovations last year. I thought they would have been finished by now.

From This Post I would have also thought it would have been finished by now.

Will forward your query to SANParks PR.

Herewith the response from Kruger, via Gabby, which was also posted to a similar question on Facebook:

Quote:
The delay was as a result of a disagreement with our service provider but this has been resolved now and we can expect to open by September this year.

Thank you for the updated information DB. I am looking forward spending some hours in the renovated library in early December.

Did you see this in the latest media release?

Quote:
For interest, the upgraded museum at Skukuza Camp which was temporarily closed for renovation since December 2012 will be open for tourists; as from Monday, 30 June 2014.
