Maybe I have been smoking my socks too much lately or I am still suffering from withdrawal symptoms but ------ If SANPARKS came to you and said that you had won a competition and that you could build a house anywhere within Kruger, where would you build?

Anywhere close to Sirheni Bushveld camp where you will have peace and quiet with no day visitors irritating me

Location: Heart, mind and soul on an early morning drive close to Satara, unfortunately the body is in CPT!

Anywhere between Skukuza and Satara far away from the tourist roads will do nicely thanks, when can I start construction?

I'd build a Tree-House with a 360 degree view on the Sabie river, close to Lower Sabie! :dance:

Lanner Gorge, just beyond the end of the S64.
Nice and close to Pafuri and crooks corner, but with a good road leading out for the shopping, and in the best part of Kruger.

Hi,

I would agree with DuQues. I would build my house in Lanner Gorge where it is nice and quiet with no disturbances from tourists.

Would not really want to add to the human footprint.......but I would choose somewhere totally secluded under a nice big shady tree near a river course, taking care to keep it small and simple and ensuring it would blend it with surroundings.....and then keep the location completely secret!

it seems like i would be Bert's neighbour - but we can be on different sides of the river and looking at different areas of the river :-) or it would be somewhere close to Mopani but far away from the crowds. or close to Talamati hidden in the bush.

Mine is already built, it is on the koppie on the right hand side just before Mopani. Think it is the rangers place, is hidden in trees and must have a stunning view from up there.
