Hi everyone, we are currently due to spend 4 nights at Satara in september and would love to go on a bush braai. I know there is a minimum requirement for 4 people and there are only 3 of is.
I have sent a couple of emails to different people at Satara camp asking if there are any bush braais running on any of the 4 nights we are there. It's now a while and I haven't received a reply, does anyone know of a correct email address I should be using please?

Thanks, I would just love my dad to experience a bush braai

Hi Smilies, we will be at Satara 31Aug to 3 Sep and also dead keen on a bush braai.

Thanks Elsa, that is the list I used, I have emailed the Hospitality Services manager and the Duty manager, with no reply as yet.

Trailrunner, it's a shame we are not there the same days, ours are the very end of September. Good luck on getting others to go on the same braai, we have been before a few times and each time, we advertised on this forum for others willing to make up the numbers. We have always met extremely nice people this way and had fantastic evenings. :D

Thanks Merlin hope you have a good trip too pity we are not synchronised, as you can see I responded to Smilies "advert" hopefully she will get back to me as our paths will cross. I really would like to go on a bush braai just as a change of pace and I am sure it has to be a pretty magical experience to be in the actual bush at night and not in a vehicle.

2 Questions if I may pick your brain
Would you suggest I try to arrange this for Satara as we are there for 4 nights?
Should I pre arrange this from home or book there, there seem to be conflicting views on this.

Thanks Trail

Hi Trailrunner, We aren't very experience on this but happy to explain what we do! On our previous visits we have done braais from Skukuza, Satara and Mopani, all braais were a fantastic experience but for us Satara provided the best game viewing on the drive there and back. But, I am the first to admit we were lucky with right place right time with the animals, I am sure a different night our game viewing experience would have been just as good at the other braais.

We always try to arrange the braais before we go, only because there is this need for 4 people and we have chance via this forum beforehand to ensure we have at least 4'people wishing to go. As I said we have always been successful via the forum in arranging this and indeed met some fantastic people this way. I am trying to contact someone at Satara to see if they already have a braai running on any of the days we are there, if so, that makes it easy for us as we will just add ourselves to that, otherwise I will also advertise on the forum to see if anyone would like to join us to make up the numbers.

Good luck and I hope you manage to join a bush braai, I can thoroughly recommend it

We would like to have the amazing experience of a Bush Braai while in Kruger. I have contacted Skukuza and find that I can book for there but need a minimum of 4 people (there are only 2 of us) so I am hoping to find some other participants. Cost is R570 per person for a once in a lifetime experience. We will be in Skukuza on Sept 6 and again on 12, 13, 14 & 15 Sept so if anyone is interested please let me know.
