I recognise a couple of faces there :D

Maybe, the other answer is, no matter where you are, you cannot replace special people.

Difficult to say... Balule low level bridge is awesome especially if your camping at Balule  . Also the High level bridges over the Sabie, Letaba, Shingwedzi and Olifants rivers are fantastic, nice to hear the bats and see the vast expanse of river come alive with the sounds of the night! Awesome...

Our most memorable sundowner was at our bungalow in Mopani. The kids were playing on the porch, we had a amarula and brandy, and enjoyed the sounds of the hippo’s just in front of us. We watched the sun set. The atmosphere was FANTASTIC and Peacefull. Will never forget that moment.

Hi there everyone.

I would like to share with you the best sundowner I have ever had in my life.

It was at Mopanie overnight hide April of this year.No rush to go anywhere at anytime,it was only me and my wife in the hide with a nice drink in hand, listning to all the calls of Krugers Wildlife(especially Hippos) and a nice fire ready to have a nice braai,it was really special and romantic and hihgly recomended.

Thanks :P

Safrica , being alone at an overnight hide can be most enriching for ones soul .
One can occupy the hide with your bedding etc around 45 minutes before gate closing time (although the leaflet states only 30 minutes before) , so best be ready with all your goods in time , the twilight period here is very short .

Agreed!! An ice cold frostie on the Shinggwedzi bridge. During the summer time, if you stay on the bridge just long enough to make it back to Shingwedzi, you can experience 100's and 100's of bats leaving the shelter of inside the bridge and taking off into the evening sky!! Its really something to see!!!

Where is your favourite spot in Kruger to enjoy your sundowners? Do you try and get back to camp to watch the sun set with your beverage in hand, or do you park somewhere, perhaps a waterhole, to toast sundown?

Time to update this topic :D
