Armadillo tyres. It's a tyre with a Kevlar lining, so you almost never get a flat.

Do bicycles count? :hmz:

The Boeing Bird of Prey is an aircraft from Phantom Works.

ST. LOUIS , October 18, 2002 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] today unveiled the "Bird of Prey," a technology demonstrator that pioneered breakthrough low-observable technologies and revolutionized aircraft design, development and production. The once highly classified project ran from 1992 through 1999, and was revealed because the technologies and capabilities developed have become industry standards, and it is no longer necessary to conceal the aircraft's existence.

That reminds me - Bateleur is also the name of the 127mm MRL (Multiple Rocket Launcher) currently in use in the artillery. Two packs of 20 rockets each, mounted on a Samil 50 armoured truck chassis. Fun toys, MRLs...

It was copied from a captured Russian MRL which we used to call the Stalin organ. Our version was then called the PW organ, named after a previous president, PW Botha aka Die groot Krokodil.

Not quite 100%. You are thinking of the Bateleur's predecessor, the Visarend (Fish Eagle), which was a single 24-tube pack mounted on a Unimog chassis. The Bateleur is quite a bit more stable platform that the Fish Eagle was, and there's been quite some redesign. There's been quite some changes, but iirc the projectile is still the same one I played with on the Fish Eagle.

Blesbok. Lost an artillery commandant over there in one of them.

A Ford BRONCO
Bronco, is a term used in the US, N Mexico & Canada to refer to an untrained horse or one that habitually bucks. As well as the infamous OJ Simpson slow car chase variety!

The Landing Vehicle had its origins in a civilian rescue vehicle called the Alligator. Developed by Donald Roebling in 1935, the Alligator was intended to operate in swampy areas, inaccessible to both traditional cars and boats.
