Cumulo Nimbus - 40 000 metres ?
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

Cloud correct but the range is 20 000 metres. Close enough Ndloti

A bit of trivia. A record 1 870 mm (73 in) fell in 24 hours at Cilaos, Reunion on 15-16 March 1952. This is equal to 7 554 tonnes of rain per acre. (A farmer reported that he thinks that the drought has probably been broken. ) [Source; Guiness Book of World Records]

Here is an easy one

Why don't one see Oxpeckers on Elephants? They are all over other animals, but they avoid elephants. Why?

Ok im just guessing here but does it have something to do with the elephants skin that the oxpeckers don't like or is it just the elephants that don't like them? :)
Im still In LOVE with my Kruger!

You are correct with the second guess. Plain and simple, the elephants don't tolerate them and chase them away. Maybe, the elephants don't need their early warning system.
