Generally 10-15 minutes but it can remain submerged for up to 30 minutes.

This is done by the change in blood circulation, slow blood flow, reduced body temperature and metabolic speed. The heart rate as a result also slows down to 2-3 beats per minute.

They normally dive for only a few minutes, but will stay underwater for up to 30 minutes if threatened, and if they remain inactive they can hold their breath for up to two hours.

They have a four-chambered heart, although modified for their ectothermic nature due to an elongated cardiac septum, physiologically similar to the heart of a bird, which is especially efficient at oxygenating their blood.

agree. also it's a way to keep their teeth from growing too long and too much, much like we file our nails.

Their teeth grow continuously and they need a mechanism to keep their teeth in shape
The front incisors of rodents never stop growing, In fact, continuously growing front teeth is a trait shared by all rodents.

I will hand it over to you.
