WFG, the only primarily terrestrial hornbill in Southern Africa is the Southern Ground Hornbill. As far as I know, all of the others here are primarily arboreal. So, not sure which one of the species you're thinking about. Let me try Southern Yellowbilled Hornbill.

sorry folks, i had made a little blooper. :slap: I had the meaning of terrestrial as land-living birds as opposed to aquatic. This birdie is not aquatic, but does not live on the ground like the ground hornbills. It's arboreal, though it can be found on the ground occasionally as it looks for insects and what what to eat. Sorry for my mistake there. :slap:

bird yes
smaller than a dove no
predator no
terrestrial no
fruit eater no
ground hornbill no
yellow billed hornbill no
grey hornbill no
