This park was first proclaimed in 1994 (known at the time, by another name)
- has an abundance of iron-age sites.
- hosts one of the world’s largest breeding colonies of the endangered species - the Cape Vulture.

You have done it, congrats.

The Litterina zone lies between the the high water level of the spring and neap tide levels of the sea. it is the most barren and exposed for it is only under water for a few hours a day during the spring tide.

The food available to animals in this zone consists of minute algae and lichens which grow in patches on the rocks their greatest hazard is the desiccation of body fluids through evaporation.
