OWN - Let me ask a dumb question?

Is twice as cold as the BOILING POINT of water the same as TWICE as cold as the FREEZING POINT?
as per your rephrased question?

I actually have no idea what I'm talking about here - just trying to understand the question?

No, the values are different. I rephrased the Q to encourage people to seek another standard other than the difference between the boiling and freezing points of water. If you think about it logically, there is only one standard.

Dry ice gives more than twice the cooling energy per pound of weight and three times the cooling energy per volume than regular water ice (H2O).

It freezes at -78.5°C :hmz:

Edit - Are we looking at a number as the answer or a substance ???

Absolute zero = -273.15°C
