Sicariidae Loxosceles Parrami or Speluncarum or Spinulosa or Valida - Violin Spider and,

Sicariidae Sicarius Hahni - Six Eyed Sand Spider

Yuk - I dislike spiders - A LOT

That's my 2 bobs worth anyway :)

Still no correct answer :D

The answer is,

Theridiidae-Comb-Footed Spiders,

In which the Black Button Spider(Black Widow) has caused fatalities with is neurotoxic venom.

The other is,

Sicariidae-Six eyed-Crab Spider, which hase caused one fatality with its cytotoxic venom.

NOW, who asks the next question??

Hi all

I think it is time to get the ball rolling again.

Which snake is responsible for the highest number of fatal bites and why?

I agree with the above.

Taking an educated guess, I would say that it would be one of the Cobras, that cause the most fatalities.

There it should be either the Snouted Cobra (Bosveldkapel / Naja annulifera) or the Mozambique Spitting Cobra (Naja mossambica / M'fesi / Mosambiekse spoegkobra).

Though the Black Mamba is more venomous, it does not come in to contact with humans as regularly as the cobra species. This is because of different habitat use. The mamba spend much of its time in trees.

I have messed up again. I was looking for the puff adder however both of you are correct in the it accounts for the most bites but not the most bite fatalities so:

Oddesy the floor is yours.

Would that be the "Death Cup"(Duiwelsbrood) - Amanita phalloides.
