Yes site 26 at Tsendze , the last really wild easilyaccessible camp in KNP ...

By elimination someone will find it .
It is the Napi trails camp , March 2007 . this is the new camp , the original camp was burned to the ground a few years ago in a controlled fire that went out of control and also killed 15 or more grass cutters who were in the area . (strange that someone allowed a controlled burn on a day that TV weather warned of berg winds and runaway fires .)
It is now a tented camp , built close to the old burned down camp area , with en suite ablutions , unlike the wooden huts with communal facilities in all the other trails camps .
Pictures of the old camp can be seen on the pics posted erronously under topic : KNP , thread : Sweni (yes Sweni) trail .
I preferred the old camp .

Yes naomi c , Vhembe Wilderness camp .
When I took the pics in Dec 2006 one could rent a hut individually and did not have to be officially on trail . I changed my accomodation from the main camp on arrival at the gate on discovering I could get accomodation at Vhembe .
Two of us spent 7 peacefull days there , with the camp to ourselves . We did self drives as well as the Kanniedood 4 x 4 route , a morning walk , a night drive and a guided trip with a short game drive to the Mapungubwe site .

Alongside the plunge pool on rocks above camp . The lapa & kitchen is on the left .

Plunge pool on rocks above camp , camp is slightly to the left about 50 metres away .

The lapa , kitchen behind me , the pool is on the rocks slightly to the right above the camp .

Each hut has a verandah .
Image
The huts are larger than KNP wilderness trail huts and are more modern and luxurious with seperate en suite toilet and shower on each side of the entrance passageway .
