I don't know how long we coud keep this thread going but here it goes...

...a quiz based on RELATIONSHIPS be it mutalalistic/ parasitic or what ever.

Same three day rule applies.

Easy one to start things off.

A predatory Bird with a realtionship to the Ratel. Name it and explain it.

Nice idea, RM! Is it the Honey Buzzard and the Ratel? The Ratel leads this bird to honey.

I think that this is where we are going to battle as so many things interact with eachother. But sorry WAC not the one I wanted. :(

To be more specific this has nothing to do with Honey.

They follow ratels as the ratels disturb animals which the Goshawk then catches...

Didn't realise that this is yet another of those revolving quizzes, which I don't like as I have neither the time nor the interest to make up questions. So go ahead CS, and I guess I'll just sit out yet another quizz thread :(

I have either hit a dud quiz or CS is not interested. I'll give it one more try.

give an example of a non-discriminator hosting a non-matcher. And for the benifit of everyone explain these two terms.

I'll try; don't blame me if it's totally wrong!
....in relationships of Birds...
Non-discriminator hosts - does not care about the kind of egg in their nests; thus will readily accept badly mismatched eggs.

Non-matcher - Birds not of the same kind/species as the hosts, although their breeding co-insides with that of the host birds' ?

Example:
Non-discriminator host - sparrows, bishops and weavers
Non-matcher - Diederik Cuckoo

Like the avvy by the way  - I agree with arks lots of folks like to play along but don't have the time so let accomodate them if they just tell us who they are then the floor is open to the first one in or you keep it going it's up to you. - but anyway then it keeps going besides it's lots of fun either way

Thumbs up for non-discrimanator.

Non matcher is the birds who's eggs don't match those of the host.

Over to Sonbesie

Within the Cape Floral Kingdom relationships are often a matter of survival. Thus give me a fauna - flora relationship spesific to the South-western Cape, of which many believes that without the one the other will seize to exist.
