I thought I was being really clever there! Actually I had just explained what an aardwolf was to my son and then went to the mammal book to check that all the information that I had spurted forth was correct...so you see it was all fresh in my memory. I will submit my question later this afternoon or evening.

Okay here goes


When walking I hold my rump higher than the my shoulders and my head low. I have a bushy tail and the colour of my feet is the opposite to the colour of my tail. I am nocturnal and fairly common yet humans get excited when they see me. I feed on a wide range of invertebrates and wild fruits. I weigh anything from 3.5 - 5.2 kg and I have a shoulder height of 25cm. I am found in Kruger but not in the Kgalagadi

I am a common resident of South Africa and can therefore be found everywhere. I'm not however a very common sighting. I can live just about anywhere, except the desert and am nocturnal. I give birth to max 3 young.
