I am so sorry, if i am not clear. Barking came from bark. Dogs bark. Is this better?

So, i am looking for an mammal, that could sound like a dog. I heard it by myself.
And my fieldguide says, the males would attack leopards and dogs, and when they are hurt, they would also attack humans.

And it could only fly in a plane. :P

It is very commom in KNP:

Well done Toddelelfe! I see you used that 1100 km wisely!

Have to agree with Muhammad then ... Bushbuck! They are know for their aggression especially when injured. Also their sound is exactly that of a dog barking. Sounds like a single bark. Can be quite loud.

Just a foot note. Kudu has a similar "bark".

Thank You,

more than once,i dashed after a passing horse, believing it to be mom!
both mom and dad carry horns.when i am an adult,i will weigh between 250kg and 280kg.my coat will turn reddish grey.when threatened i may raise my beautifully proportioned body, hissing and squealing with rage.beware i bite as well.

i am found in Kruger.
what am i ???
