the bridge on the h-10 by lower sabie is my favorite but really when thinking about it everywhere in kruger is my favorite place...so really kruger is my favorite place...lol

My favourite places are Sunset Dam and Lake Panic. Sunset Dam would be even better if no one else was around. A hide there would be great

Thank you all for your interesting responses to the original topic post-up. I really enjoy all the places mentioned – each place has its own uniqueness that makes it special.
My favourite place has to be the Olifants deck lookout.
Closely followed by Pafuri picnic site; Rooibosrandt Dam near Bateleur bushveld camp. I also enjoy the view of the Letaba River from the camp.

I would say Bobbejaanskrans. It's nothing spectacular to look at, but I like it there

It's also a quiet place and few people ever go there

I also love the deck at Olifants! Getting up every morning and getting coffee and an egg sandwich and sitting there on the deck eating my breakfast and watching all the ellies...heaven!

There is another place that I don't know the name of. On the first day of our first trip to Kruger we drove from Orpen gate to Olifants. Shortly before we got to Olifants camp there was a bridge where we crossed over the river. It was very late in the afternoon/early evening -- the "golden hour" -- and there were literally dozens of species of animals all around -- baboons playing and grooming and chasing each other, crocs and hippos in the water, herons and egrets on the banks, warthogs, impala -- it was like the garden of eden and we thought we'd gone to heaven. It was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen, so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. We flew halfway around the world to get there and it was SO worth it. It was hard to tear ourselves away to make it to the camp gate on time.

I really enjoy Shimuwini bushveld camp. If you are lucky and have a view of the river from your hut, you can watch game coming to drink without having to walk there. Just sitting on your veranda is it's own reward.

When I was there in Dec last year, we saw elephants drinking and impala came too, and a huge herd at that. We were also lucky enough to see lions enjoying themselves sunbaking and for the photographers-the hippos love to yawn at dusk and make lots of noise.

Our favourite spot is Nkumbe viewsite on the Tshokwane/Lower Sabie H10

I also really enjoy Nwanetsi picnic spot if it is not too busy.
The bird hides at Bateleur and Shimuwini are quite something!;very quiet and excellent views.

Have to agree with you about the deck! It just sets a perfect tone for the day,

If you start the Salitje Rd from the Skukuza side, the second or third side loop to the right brings you to a little piece of heaven, with the magnificent shade of "leopard trees" overlooking the Sabie River. Forget about spreading my ashes, I would be happy to be buried alive here.

Hey Wildman, what a difficult question to react to. Years ago it would have been Rabelais Dam without any doubt. Unfortunately this dam was destroyed by flood water and for very valid reasons it was decided not to repair it. But this used to be my favourite of all favourite places in Kruger.

Nowadays I find it rather difficult to exempt one single place in the park, but the following is some of my favourites:

Gezantfombi Dam (near Crocodile Bridge)
Bobbejaankrans (my preferred lookout point)
Mooiplaas (nicest picnic spot)
Nyawutsi (my most-liked hide)
Thulamila (S98) - surely one of the most tranquil places on earth.

Tamboti. Loved it from the first moment I saw it and although the whole park is magical, this little camp will always have a special place in my heart.

Sunset dam at lower sabie is good .

Gudzani and msemani dams at Satara are good .

But my favourite areas (In summer)are shingwedzi camp , and then the bridge going across the shingwedzi river at the end of the red rocks road .

Almost impossible to say, as the worst spot in Kruger is better than the best spot outside Kruger.

My favourite spot must be somewhere in the North, but which one!
