I was lucky enough to try the Mugg & Bean this weekend.

I can say I really had a good meal, food is tasty and arrives in good time. The two waiters we had and the supervisor were very helpful. There were a few hitches but I think that is down to the waiters and staff still trying to find their feet. Drinks orders took a bit longer than normal if you had a frozen drink, and at one stage they ran out of Ice cream for Milkshakes. I personally think they underestimated the amount of people who would be wanting frozen drinks, I'm sure something like that will be sorted out quite quickly. This meal took place during a full deck during school holidays, it was very promising to see them handling the pressure so well.

One little thing that was a drawback for me was how some patrons blatantly ignored the wait to be seated station, went and sat down, and then wondered why they didn't have menus etc. :hmz:

I have just compared the 'Kruger Menu' with the standard Mugg and Bean menu and prices are exactly the same, as far as I have checked
Thank you, Norms :gflower:

Hi,

I was in LS on my birthday, and normally we kame our own diner/braai but this time we had dinner at M&B.
well I can tell you all it was great. We had the Big Daddy Trash Truck Burger and the rumpsteak.
never had food like this in Kruger.
I really hope they keep it this way!

Fantastic!.

We were one of the first customers at M&B. Arrived at LS on a monday. Arrived in wet and muddy LS (we had the EH3 huts so not the best place to braai.

We received a great welcome with a free drink.
Service was great
Food ditto
pricing fair
So we had dinner twice

A huge improvement at LS.

Ate two lunches and had 2 coffee stops at Mugg & Bean during our recent break. The staff were very pleasant and the food was great. I love braaing in the Park but as a Mom I also love having the option to have a break from preparing and thinking about meals. And a proper cup of coffee, well that is just priceless...

I'm sure that M&B's food are as good as in any of their shops, but in my humble opinion after my visit there last week, the deck is ruined :(

The entrance to the deck is the entrance to the restaurant, so you cannot just sit and watch the view without feeling obliged to order something.

You can also no longer buy a cold drink or ice-cream at the shop and sit and eat it on the deck, as all the tables are M&B.

Oh well, from now on its ice-cream with a stroll through the camp and a sit down on one of the memorial benches.....
