Hi all

I need some advice please.
We have just made a booking for 16 nights in the Kruger, we will be staying at caravan sites, apart from 3 nights in a Safari Tent at Tamboti. What do we do with our caravan while we are at Tamboti?

We have been caravanning for many years, but this is our first trip to Kruger, apart from a couple of day visits in the '70's.

We are booked as follows:

01/09 - 08/09 Berg-en Dal 7 nights camp site
08/09 - 11/09 Tamboti 3 nights safari tent
11/09 - 14/09 Tsendze 3 nights camp site
14/09 - 16/09 Maroela 3 nights camp site

I am concerned that distances between camps are too great, but we could not get any other bookings, would prefer to be at a camp site than a safari tent, but that is not a huge problem.

We are sooooo excited about the trip, can't wait!!!

   :D :D

Welcome Twinkles63

Tamboti is pretty spacious, so if you are not able to park your caravan in the parking bay for your tent, I am sure you will find somewhere in the camp to leave it. Just ask at reception when you book in (Orpen). They are very nice and very helpful.

Distances are far, but not too far. Just leave really early each time you move camps.

Nothing can beat camping in Kruger :D

I am sure that if you ask the reception (Orpen) , they will find place to keep the caravan at Orpen, or even at their petrol station, there is plenty space to leave the caravan there. Perhaps you should give them a call and make the necessary arrangements before you arrive. :D Enjoy your caravanning

I would also watch availability as there might be a campsite that opens at Satara.
