Pst, if you have a look at some of these maps you can maybe get an idea of which # bungalows will suit you best.

Berg & Dal

Satara

I think the BD3E's are in the D block, which is where we stayed in March, it has a wire enclosed verandah.

Letaba

Just note the BD3's on the top left are actually BD3U's as well.

Hope it helps. :D

will be staying at at GC5 unit at Shimuwini and a GC6D unit at Sirheni in February. Anyone got any suggestions as to which numbers would be best at that time of year?

Thanks very much, Elsa! Maps are a great help to choose the quietest/best bungalows!

I will try to get those in Letaba and Ber-en-Dal.
In Satara it seems, there are only 4 bungalows BD3 in the all camp.

Kind regards

Have a nice day...

De nada, pst… :D
Keep on checking the availability pages for cancellation on the units with the views….you can alter you reservation, without any penalties, up to 30 days before your arrival….after the 30 days you can still alter your reservation as long as the total cost of the new reservation is more than the old one.
Many people wait up and till the last payment date (30 days before the time of arrival) to cancel their reservations…so keep on checking.

Simonbee,

We have stayed in a GC5 at Shimuwini during august and had unit 10. Very nice view so you can't go wrong with it. It's also very close to the swimming pool.
Enjoy!!!!

It does look like that, but maybe the map is not fully up to date, and they have converted more, anyway, we had # 84, and both nights heard Hyenas calling close by. :D

Hi Alf

There hasn't been an update on best safari tent at Punda for quite a while.

Seems 2 or 3 are the preferred choice. On your whirlwind tour perhaps you may have time to check them out. I am going on 23 Jan-27 Jan and would appreciate knowing which has a clearer view.

Thanks so much!

Hi,

Did any of you ever stay in the luxury bungalow in Satara? I will stay there 3rd and 4th of February and I just found out that there is only one luxury bungalow (LB3) in Satara, but I can not find it on the map....

Hi there,

Just to inform you that I mailed weeks ago our "preference" units directly to each of the camps (Berg-en-Dal, Biyamiti, Satara and Letaba), getting some days later a positive reply, that they will try everything possible to satisfy our preferences.

Important for Letaba travellers:
The Letaba map on the sanparks-webpage is not totally correct. The BD3 bungalows from Nr. 22 to 30 on the map seem to have a view, but these bungalows are in fact BD3U, so it was not possible to book one of them, as we reserved BD3 (without view).

Have you all a nice day!
