I think the BG3U to BD3U is quite likely as I notice from the photos that the fridge is inside and the kitchen looks as tho it is enclosed from prying monkeys.
Not sure about 'upgraded' in any other way.
It seems that some people are delighted with their Olifants accommodation and some people have quite the opposite experience.
Anyway, we are booked into a BD3U for 2 nights the week after next so will report back.
Just back.......now a whole year to wait till August 2011! I cant bear it.
EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY I LOVE KRUGER MORE AND MORE

For Sirheni I can really recommend that the best of the 6 bed bungalows is no.7!! :D A leopard came down there, a herd of ellies, buffalo, baboon, waterbuck and Kudu.No. 13,14 and 15 also looked nice as they are where the river widens and the hippos are also there making those beautiful sounds! The birdhide is also close but I don't think anything can trump no.7 !!

I can't comment on the other camps but the BD2N bungalows at Satara are in circle A. I would suggest any number between 12 and 17 near the fence.
Made my booking for Desember 2014!! Whoohoo

Jehoshaphat wrote:Hello everyone,
My sister and her fiance (from New Zealand) are coming to Kruger in November and I would like to get the nicest bungalows for them.
Please can anyone give me the following info:

Lower Sabie - BG2U - what numbers are they on the map and which is recommended

Skukuza - BG3E - what numbers are they on the map and which is recommended

Satara - BD2N - what numbers are they on the map and which is recommended

Croc Bridge - CTT2 - which is recommended

Any info would be much appreciated.

regards
Jo

Can't comment on the others but I'd say if they can afford it and there's availability then rather book the 3 bed units at Lower Sabie - there's just that little bit more space and sense of luxury. Avoid 3, 4 and 5 if they want some privacy.

Hi Camken

Berg n Dal- BA3U (I've requested #27)
The right one, stayed in 26 recently, best view, etc
Pretoriuskp- FU4D
Can't help here
Skukuza- LR2WZ
88 ( think?), we stayed in the Absa house and think this was the one next to it, not many cars travel past, very nice view
Letaba- FQ6
Again, we stayed in Fish eagle guesthouse, will go with one nearest, less cars, nice view,
Satara- BD2V (I see they are 161-178, but is there one that you think is the one to go for?) The one closest to the fence ! 179 ?
Enjoy your trip

Andre

It does not look like it on the map, but #167 is the closest to the fence

Anyone have an idea which GC6B cottage in Satara is closest to the fence?

The "fence"next to circle d where the gc6b cottages are located divide the camp from the staff quaters, workshop etc. The one's at the back are nicer as less traffic etc , 85 , 86 ?

Good day people. Wondering if someone might be able to help. Going to Pretoriuskop soon and staying in BD2 bungalow. I have only ever camped at PK and can't remember the bungalow locations so well. (Might be the grey matter finally falling apart!) Which side of the the BD2's are better located - more towards number 134 or to the other side towards 117? A shot in the dark but maybe a soul out there who can help.

Kind regards

Ravvie,

I would choose 134 that is next to the fence. Number 117 gets more traffic from people walking to the pool area and back.
