We stayed in # 7 & 8 if I remember correctly and no, didn't have a view of the water Hole but from the pool it was wonderful.

I have stayed in no 10 before. Unfortunatly there is a tree infront of no 10 which makes it very difficult to see the waterhole but in my opinion i would go for no 12. Nothing infront of this unit and it has a wonderful view of the waterhole and it's also far away from the noise of the pool and traffic going in and out of orpen.

Be sure to leave camp at gate opening. This tar road going to Satara is very busy with predators early morning. We saw a huge pride of lions on our sunset drive and again the next morning standing in the middle of the road. Lovely camp and i'm sure you will enjoy.

Hi Guys

Advice needed please on best tent at punda for SO's ma and pa. Never been to Punda before and neither have they. But they are visiting the North to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for reminding me of the H7 - we usually stay at Tamboti and one morning, saw the big 5 within 30min on this road and on top of it, a pack of wild dog playing for 20min. on the H7. My favourite though the Timbavati road to picnic spot, up and down and down and up

If my memory serves me correct i think tent no 2 has the best view but keep in mind it's a wheelchair friendly tent so they will only be able to book it for you if nobody asks for it.

Thanks Alf. Wheelchair access might help actually as SO's ma has to use a cain and has her good and bad days when it comes to steps. This is a daft question but would you say that the shower is a good size (she has a portable chair she has to use to sit under the shower)?

Sorry i can't help you on that question because i haven't stayed in these tents myself. I was asked during december 2009 while in the camp to check which tents have the best view. I was never inside them as they were all occupied.

Punda tents :- no 1 is the disabled one with easiest access.
It has shortest wooden ramp/path to the unit and I dont think it has stairs.
Some of others' ramps are steep or have steps.
The shower is spacious.

I have been going to Kruger on and off (more on lately) and in my naivety, I didn't realise that you could request specific bugalows etc (though I realise it's only a request and can't be guaranteed)

We have the folowing bookings:
Skuk BD2
Letaba BD2
Skuk BD2E

Can anyone advise what to ask for?
Last time in Letaba we had horrible position near laundry and pool. Felt very cramped in.

Would have liked diabled but you can't book that online too far in advance.
Wonder if I could change?

As far as I am aware, you should be able to book the disabled units in advance by emailing reservations. They are held back from release to the general public until 1 month before, hence the reason they do not appear on the reservation system. If you have a need of them, you should be able to request them at the same time as your other bookings.

With two weeks to go we are trying to find the "best" locations but I'm struggling with finding a couple of places on the camp maps, so hope some can help!

Looking for BD2N on the map at Satara and best location within.
Lower Sabie we have BD2U, i know it's perimeter but what numbers on map?
Mopani we have BD4, from reading here I believe either 49,51, 101 or 102 will give best dam view?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Maddie, not sure where the Satara unit will be, but if one hasn't got a perimeter chalet not sure it matters too much?

Mopani, I can definitely say #49 is the one with a fantastic view, #51 next, we have had both of those and been more than happy.

Lower Sabie's BD2's seem to be the ones on the map from the Keartland Guest house down in that circle.

BD2N in Satara is the A-circle.

The Satara BD2N is perimeter so good to see what part of the circle is at the fence.
Will put in a request for the Mopani ones and cross my fingers we get lucky with a view of Pioneer Dam
