Hi
Just about to book some accomodation in Kruger. I'm too late to get what I wanted so have had to change plans and get something at Skukusa. However, I notice that for my dates (start of August) just about the only thing left is Bungalows BE2. Has anyone got anything against these particular bungalows? There must be a reason why everything else is taken but there are still 9 BE2s?!
Thanks for any help
Tim

Tim, nothing wrong with these units, try to get 55-60 which is the row closest to the river. Have a look under accomodation pictures to see if you can find a photo there. Enjoy!

Nope it just sleeps 2 people that's all and most people go in larger groups taking larger accommodation to save money cos if you think about it why rent 3BG2's when you can rent something bigger and do it cheaper? :)

Hi Carol

The Higher Numbered ones have a better view, from 7 up, the closer you are to the Guest cottages the better view you have.! the lower numbers have the Pool in front of them.

We are staying in a Mopani FB4 for 2 nights. Do any of you think it is worth keeping an eye on the availability in case a BD4 or a BD4V become available? Thanks guys.

Hi Graham - My wife and I stayed in a BD4V at Mopani in April and believe me it is worth it. There are very few units with a view of the dam so if you can get one go for it. We stayed in number 51 - one of the best views in the camp.
Enjoy!

I am slightly confused by this, when I reserved a unit for Mopani by looking at its map I did not see such, and ended up having a BD4. http://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/ca ... ni_map.jpg
It never showed up such accommodation type (BD4V) except BD4, FF6, FB4 etc. And still the said bungalow (51) is not showing up as a BD4V on the map.
But BD4V shows up in the availability form, how would you know where a BD4V is located, if it is not shown on the map?
Thanks very much.

Thanks Grasha - I will keep my eyes open on the availability.

@Elephantears - I think numbers 49 & 51 have been reclassified as BBD4V because of their stunning location, but the map is yet to be updated.

Hi Elephantears

The map is not updated yet. I added a post Here

I contacted Mopani camp a few months ago and they told me that numbers 49 and 51 had been changed to BD4V because of their views. So if you got a BD4 that might be because that was the only ones availible.

If you try to get a nice view number that has not yet been changed, try for number 101 and 102

Hi All

I have just returned from a WONDERFUL week in Kruger (and busy planning the next trips  ).

Just a question on something that has been frustrating me (and evidently many other 'mites too). It is becoming increasingly difficult to try and figure out accommodation locations and numbers on the outdated camp maps. This is such an important (and fun) part of planning a trip. Can we please ask Sanparks (Lesego?) to give us an indication as to when they would be in a position to load updated maps onto their website?

Much appreciated

Hi all,

If I may, I would like to ask two questions:

1) Does anyone know which are the LST2UZ tents in Lower Sabie? According to the map there should be three, and no LST2Z tents. However, every day when the "Z" tents become available in the less than 1 month period (not being booked by disabled persons), there are two LST2UZ tents and one LST2Z tents. Has one of them (probably number 23) been downgraded to LST2Z (without view)? My reason for asking is that we have two of them booked, and I am not sure if I should ask for 22 and 21 closest to the river, or will we get them in any case?

2) We are thinking of booking at Talamati for a future trip. Does anyone know if the bench beds in the lounge of the CO4 units are suitable for two teenage boys, or should we rather book the GC6 units? With the new prices coming into effect from November there is a considerable price difference!

Many thanks for any advice!

Lizes
